About the Ship

MS Serenissima was originally built as the Harald Jarl in 1960 for Hurtigruten at Trondhjems mekaniske Værksted. The ship has been renovated several times over the years, preserving its history through updates to her interior. 

She is a classic vessel that combines vintage charm with modern comfort. With a capacity of just 103 guests, this intimate ship offers a personalised and relaxed journey through the Arctic, featuring elegant dining, cosy lounges, and panoramic views from expansive decks.

A Svalbard adventure on board MS Serenissima will be led by passionate local guides fluent in English, German, French, and Norwegian.
